Field Day 2024

Field Day 2024 is in the planning phase!!!
Field  Day is an amateur radio event where the amateur radio operator (also known as a ham) will set up an amateur radio station in an area using field conditions (not using commercial power, not using amplifiers, etc) and make as many contacts throughout the event as possible.    
In addition to testing the amateir radio operators ability to operate in these conditions, it also serves as an opportunity for the ham to showcase amateur radio to the general public, emergency services, and catch the interest of future amateur radio operators.   
The Daleville Area Amateur Radio Service wil set up at Culpepper Park on June 22, 2024 at 8 am til 12 noon.   Just look for the Daleville Area Amateur Radio Service table at the 2nd Annual Southeast Alabama American Veterans (AMVETS) SummerFest.    Stop by and say hello!!!
We will operate an HF station.   We will use the 1x1 call sign K4D for the Field Day event.
